First made 3 diff. kind Kimchi :)

Before I start this long journey, I had to make my stomach happy!
I made French toast and had it with pancake syrup.

I decided to make oi sobagi (cucumber kimchi), Daikon kimchi and MulGimChi (Water Kimchi)
I bought 10 Kirby cucumbers and cut the each ends and soaked them in a salted hot water.
To save time, I already cross cuts the cucumbers. Later I will fill the fillings between the cross.
While my cucumbers are soaked in the salt water, I cleaned my daikon and cut them into bite sizes and also marinated with salt to release their own moist.
Now, while both of them are soaked, I prepared the Kimchi sauce.
Oi-sobagi : Hot pepper flacks, grounded ginger and garlic, chives, oyster sauce, sesame oil, soy sauce, some water and some sugar.
Daikon Kimchi : Everything same without salt and chives
I marinated my daikon with the sauce and also added glue (풀) made out of sweet flour and hot water.
Glue in!!

Because I my Kimchi was spicy, I added some 물엿, corn syrup.

Let's make Water Kimchi
Prepared my daikon and ponytail daikon and soaked them with salt.
In a mean time, I cut my peppers.

I made kimchi glue with sweet flour, hot pepper flakes, sugar, garlic and ginger.
After drain out the water from the vegetables and marinated with the glue.
Bottom floor : Daikon Kimchi
Top floor : four cucumbers

Rest of cucumbers

Water kimchi~

I don't like fresh kimchi, so I will wait two to three more days or until my Kimchi are well fermented. Of course the taste of them won't be the same as my mom's, but I'm sure my mom will be very proud of me trying to make kimchi by scratch.

Q. What can I make with pork?

1. BBQ - Just enjoy the original taste of pork
Cook the meat with some cracked pepper!
Don't add cooking oil, because the pork fat will cook the meat naturally.
I don't add salt, because I will eat the pork with Korean pepper paste, Gochujang.
Cook some asparagus using the same frying pan that I just cooked the meat.
Again, I didn't add any cooking oil, because the pan had some pork oil left.
Eat with some big begetable leaves like red head lettuce or perilla.

#2. Make 제육볶음 (jeauk bokkeum), spicy stir-fried pork with vegetable.
材料: sliced pork, carrots, asparagus, onion, leek, sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, hot pepper paste.
*No need to add salt and pepper! Soy sauce and hot pepper paste will cover those!
Cook the meat and let the pork oil come out, and use that as the cooking oil.
When the meat is half cook, Add asparagus and carrots.
When I'm the vegetables are half cooked, I added onion.
 I added the soy sauce.
 Gochujang in!
Optional - dry hot pepper flakes.
 Sesame oil in!
 Small amout of sugar in!
When my cooking reached to the end, I added my leek.
 Serve~
Closer look of my jeauk bokkeum.

It was my dinner, and I can't wait to eat more as my lunch tomorrow.

ランチ -- Marinated chicken

I used my last Yu Choy and carrot! Let's finish them!
I marinated my chicken thigh with
Soy sauce, sesame oil, chopped garlic, one slice of lemon and mirin.
 Chicken meets vegetables
I used leek, which has a mild sweet onion like taste,
because I used lemon to marinate the chicken thigh.
I added the Yu Choy leaves at the last.
I packed my lunch with 十穀を混ぜて炊いたご飯
I packed my fresh fruits with my lunch~ :)
Time to go study!
