It was my second time cook this dish. It is very easy and fun to make!

I only had 'real japanese's nikujaga' so I don't know the original taste.

Hope this take like home of japan. ;)

Did my laundry on Thursday night around 10pm and went to bed at 12am

Woke up at 1am and took a shower and get ready for Friday shopping!

Drove and picked SOMEONE and took the local to King of Prussia Mall

Already many people were there and had at least two bags.

Had gone to a store and make sure they were open.

Unfortunately, they were scheduled to be open at 8am.

Walked around little bit and went back to the car and slept till 8am. (by the time, it was 4am)

8:30am – FINAL DECISION MADE!

Even though SOMEONE had looked down on me, it was alright.

I was sad and stressed. Tears dropped few times, but I cleaned myself up.
As he thinks, I’m stupid. (but I must be good at something)

Anyways with that stress and thoughts, went back to the store.

Saw SOMEONE struggling and thinking deeply for the final decision

The model was a handsome looking thing!

After the decision, saw SOMEONE the excitement on face and also I was happy

It wasn’t a buying a house or car,
but it is always a great moment that you get what you’ve dreamed of.

Go out and rock your life!

I didn’t get anything, because I lost my appetite of shopping. I was in stress.

But, I was happy for SOMEONE, who made a big decision early in the morning.

I'm stuck & dinner for Kimchi pancake!

Jazz and I were going back to our apartment. Jazz miss calculated the steps and stuck. His body wasn't long enough to climbed the next step. He climbed up too much at the first place. I was laughing at him.. (Sorry Jazz ahahahahahhhahahah!)

2011 - Halloween story

 

     Let me talk about how I got my costume. I ordered it on Thursday and selected one day shipment. The costume company mailed on time, and I should have received by 3pm, as FedEx showed on online tracking website. While I was tracking, suddenly saw a red note saying “shipping exception”. 1. I put a note on the front door saying, please contact 2. They didn’t leave a notice on the door 3. I waited since 9am for it! I was panicking. I contacted FedEx, and they said I can pick it up after 4pm at the FedEx terminal. I thank the spoken person and went to the campus to pickup my schedule. I had arrived at the terminal, but I couldn’t get my package, because it had not arrived yet. They said they close at 8pm, so check back again, or pickup the following day. IT’S MY COSTUME AND I NEED IT NOW! Before I went to the terminal for the second time, I called and asked whether it had arrived. She, the spoken person, said that the truck will arrive 8:30pm, but the office closes at 8pm, so I can’t pick it up. I was extremely sad. Later 9-10 minutes, the actual representative, the person whom I talked with when I was at the terminal for the first time, told me to pick up the packagw. OMG, what a day. ;) Finally I got the costume at 6:40pm and could go to the party.

     Ok everyone listen.. I went to one of my friends’ friend’s room to say hi to one of my friend.. (Do you get this situation...) They were drinking with normal clothes and when I entered, they were laughing at me. I asked why they were not dressed, so I don’t feel ‘embarrassed’. Some of them said, they were just lazy and one said ‘This is my third year in American and I don’t have to go’. (WTF... Are you taking about how many years you’ve been in U.S? HAHA.. I just laughed.. Tell me about it! What a kid. Hey KID, LIESTEN! Halloween party is not for people who just came to America! It is part of American culture; well, I still dress up and party, even thought this is my 10^th year).

Q. - Why do you keep hangout with kids? HANGOUT WITH ME!! :p

NEW INFO. - I heard there are four SOPHIE in ELP.

     I had arrived in IHouse at 9:40pm and contacted my friends to come down to the lobby. (THE QUEEN IS HERE!) The party was so boarding, because only four men, who know how to dance, were dancing (I mean, challenging each other). I couldn’t stop whining about how hungry I am, people not dancing, expensive party entrance fee, and starve to dance. Later, we decided to go to Smokey Joe, bar and stage, and almost half of the crowd from the party went. (I truly felt bad for IHouse party organizer)

     I was extremely happy and so ready for one of my friend’s birthday party. I have not party quite while, and I was totally having fun and enjoy hangout with new people. Now, I’m worry about when the classes start on Monday. They will leave me, and I’ll be alone. I won’t be able to reach them, because they will take different classes.

 



Oct. 21st. 2011 - Friday

Today, Oct. 21^st, was a busy day.

7:00am woke up

8:00am finished shower + choose my outfit

8:30am finished my raisin cereal with Fat-free milk + played with Jazz for a bit

8:45am wormed up my car and drove to the campus

9:10am found the parking space + parallel parked professional!

11:15am studied little bit

11:15am – 12:20pm GMAT CLASS

12:30am Last session party + received certification

12:45pm Dropped Dishnetwork equipment at UPS

3:50pm hung out with Athena at Starbuck and talked about lives (girl’s talk) + Got my Sugar free Cheesecake at a small bakery

4:30pm arrived at Penn Museum and changed my outfit to Hanbock

4:53pm Got my cutest Japanese friend, Kenta, and talked into the conference

5:50pm Took many pictures with unknown people who loved my Hanbock

6:20pm arrived in Chinatown

8:30pm Had a dinner with Athena and headed back to University City

9:15pm Drove to my place with Athena

11:30pm Played with Jazz and talked more with Athena + drove her back to I-house

It was a busy day but had lots of fun! I talked about stuff that I couldn’t talk with my family and younger friends with Athena; I got to hangout with the cutest guy, Kenta, and many Chinese people, who treated me like a model at the conference! AHAHAHA I think my dress was the biggest and multicolored! Everybody told me that I look cute and beautiful. Plus, people told me where I came from, so I proudly said, I’m from Korean and this dress is our traditional dress! I was very happy to share a part of Korea with people. Now I am extremely tired, but thinking that it was worth of time to walk around with that heel. Thank you all of my beautiful friends, who helped me walk around with the puffy dress, Hanbock.

     Six of us including myself went to Sahara, Middle East cuisine restaurant, in downtown Philadelphia. It was my first time trying Middle East food at a restaurant. I was very excited to try it, because last night, one of my friends, from U.A, told me that their country food is very delicious. (Well, let me rewrite this! He said, Middle East cuisine restaurants in America are pretty good but still hard to find the one, which can cook as close as back home.) I had to agree with him.

     Just for an example, Koreana, is a Korean cuisine restaurant near the campus. Many foreigners, who had eaten, gave 8-10 scores based on 1-10 scale. (Score 10 is very satisfying) Honestly, I think I can cook better than them. Wait, but their orders are pretty fast, so I guess I have to give them some room. But still! When I think about representing a country, this is not acceptable! You opened a restaurant especially in Korean cuisine, but how could you make Jaeyuk bogum, 제육볶음, with ddock bok gi, 떡볶이, sauce.?

     Anyways, back to Sahara! When we had arrived, they did not give us the menu right away: Yea yea, my major is Hospitality so I couldn't help it! We started with Hummus which had seasoned paprika, glazed olive oil, and cilantro as a garnish. I’ve been making hummus at home, but it was very different than what I had! Maybe because it was seasoned. Maybe because I was having a ‘real hummus’. My main dish was a Kebob, which I forgot the name. I ordered the same dish that A.K (my Arab friend - on the picture). (Tip: safest way to try new dishes: Just get what your friends get!) The dish had seasoned rice with grill tender chicken. It was pretty good! The only thing that I wanted to add was extra vegetables, because I had to eat some salads, without the dressing, when I got back.

     I had a great time with my friends and wished other classmates could join. We might have a dinner tomorrow again, Oct. 20^th, and hope to see rest of the faces!

     I made a batch of brownie and oatmeal chocolate cookies. Hope they enjoy them tomorrow at our last class of this session.

new place ready to be seen

My new memory chapter starts now.. 

I moved about two weeks ago, and finally be able to invite friends to my place.. Finally my APT has place to seat and can see my hard wood floor! I video tape my place so my families and friends can check it out! If you want to hang out or play with my baby, Jazz, you are welcome to text me and see if I’m available.
