2013 Merry Christmas; 24th-25th

This year, I went out with my girl friends.
Since the school started, I have not socialized with my old friends; in two days, we talked so much and drank so much.
I had a great night, especially, talking with my brother who is in San Francisco was the best. He spent his first Christmas in America by himself, and I tried to celebrate with him.
I missed him so much and felt very sorry for him that I could not be with him. I made few more phone calls and found myself that I am very happy and blessed person.

DIY; Nail art for holiday and homemade brownies

or

Okayu with various toppings

Jook: in Korean
Okayu: in Japanese
Congee: in Japanese
Rice Porridge: in English (?!?)

When I was younger, my mom made rice porridge when I'm sick or when I don't have appetite.
Right now, I'm not sick or don't have appetite.
Actually I have heavy appetite and had about 4-5 big meal today with chocolates..

I found my rice that I froze about a week ago, and I decided to make rice porridge.
I melted the rice and combined it with fresh soaked water.
My leftover rice was not enough to make the rice.

Wash 2 cups of rice and soak it with cold water about 1 hour.
After that, put the rice cooker in Rice Porridge mode.
If yours doesn't have the system, cook it in a deep pot with about 2:5 ratio of soaked rice and water in medium heat.
When you cook the rice on a pot, it will take about 30min.

As a topping, you can topped anything you have on hand.
I prepared salmon flacks, beaten eggs with a pinch of salt, chopped and washed chicken breast, and thinly sliced and chopped carrots.

Sauce: soy sauce, sesame oil, shichimi

Make egg scramble

Cook the chicken well.

Cook the carrots with little bit of oil.

When the rice is ready, prepare and enjoy.

I also added some umeboshi as a topping.
Also, when the taste is too bland add the sauce.

Somehow, I can't work with the camera light!!!!
Photography is so difficult.

Shoprite and homemade gyoza for dinner

The other day, I heard one of my friend shops at Shoprite. Since then, I always wanted to try this place, and finally, I shopped at Shoprite for the first time.
I was amazed by the vegetable section!
I didn't know they have well organized fresh fruits and vegetables corner.
I bought some vegetables, some pears, a bag of cranberry, a bag of mixed white and red onion, a bag of sliced almond, and a bag of carrots.
I also bought small coke pack, which I didn't plan to get.

Shoprite; I found my grocery shopping place other than Trader Joe's!

Today's dinner is homemade gyoza~
Sauce: Soy sauce, shichimi, rice vinegar, small drop of sesame oil.

Please check out homemade gyoza that I made before too :)
This time, I only used 'store bought' gyoza skin, but please check out my homemade gyoza skin from

I only had vegetables so made vegetable gyoza.

I made too much, so it took me about little more than an hour to finish them.
I enjoyed my dinner slowly..
I wished I could share this with my friend.. ahhh

Media Theater - Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

Snowing again.. lalala~

Mascara, down..
Shoes, wet..
Hair, wet..
Coat, icy wet..
Hands, froze..
Heart, cold and froze..

Media Theater
104 E State St
Media, PA 19063
 (610) 891-0100

2nd FL café..

The building seems like a historic building, because there are so many antique pictures.

I got a pretty nice seat :)

The musical was pretty good, but it was short as I've expected.
The musical was a story telling to children, and the story was about Joseph's life from abandoned by 11 brothers to coming back to family with wealth.

In Jan 2014, I have another ticket to see Anne Frank.
When I was younger, I used to read Anne Frank Diary many times and recently watched a movie too.
I am very excited to discover how the Media Theater will perform Anne Frank.
Anyways, I was alone but I think I had a pretty good day.

Maybe it could be better day if I was with someone, but that's alright.
Time to write my paper... OTL
