Fried oden&生姜焼き Shogayaki for dinner


 I had a great Yokan about two weeks ago, and I was craving for it again..
This is what I bought at Hmart. :)

 Cute peppers~ chop chop chop!

I cooked my potatos first


Oden added!


I didn't want to use my special soy cause, so I used Ponzu..
That's okay right....?


I added small amougt of mirin


I also added sesame oil


 Brown sugar is good for you!

I also added my shitaki mushrooms.

Half of batch will be for my friend, whom I will visit tomorrow in Manhattan, NY

added a teaspoon of grounded garlic

I almost forgot to add ginger...
Good thing that I went back to my refridgerator..


I added small drops of mirin


I though I put too much garlic and ginger, so I added half teaspoon of brown sugar.


I washed, dried, and shredded my veggies.


Marinated my pork..
I went to Hmart, and I couldn't find sliced port loin..
That's why I used this tonkatsu pork..



I used sesame oil instead of oilve oil~



I couldn't finish all, so I saved for my breakfast!

I tried okra (the green, pepper looking thing in the picture) for the first time.
The texture was like ground 麻 or eating Natto..
I used to eat ground 麻 every morning before and could eat okra!
So I was thinking, maybe I could give Natto a try again..

Dinner for one and sprout side dish

Marinated Salmon

After the dinner, I started to make Moyashi Namuru


Add Salt and heat it up! HOT HOT!
(ノ゚0゚)ノ~

Cool it down and squeeze the water.
Add mirin~

Kombu salt in!

 Soy sauce add!
 Red dry pepper flake in!
Sesame oil in!


?? Some sugar...??

 Sesame seed in!

Mix all together and save for tomorrow

Sponge cake man meets choco lady


I bought some fruits because I thought I need some real vitamins instead of capsules
I decided to be creative and here we go making sponge cake AGAIN!


Sift the flour

I treat my fudge brownie well!
I know how to work with this thing~
 ヾ(´▽`;)ゝ


Sift sIft siFt sifT /(*ι*)ヾ


My sponge cake is READY~
Cool it and take it out from the mold and start bake the brownie~
Both of cakes will take about 15 min each.


Prepare fruits.
Cut, wash, wash again, wash again, taste(?)



Cut the sponge cake and glazed with cream that I just made and filled in with strawberries

Layer from the bottom
Sponge cake -> Cream -> Strawberries -> Choco cake -> Cream ->
Sponge cake -> Blueberry jam glaze -> Garnish

I put it in the refrigerator to make my cake stick together~
I can't wait to try tomorrow!

All Koreans like spicy food..?!?


Add left over chicken breast
Diced kimchi and some kimchi soup
Diced daikon
Diced carrots and grounded garlic
Add Green tea as a broth

Bring it to boil at least an hour..
When the stock reduces add more green tea! (ღ˘⌣˘ღ)

Let's make a cake batter
STEP 1: add two whole eggs and 1/4 cup of white sugar
"Dol dol dol~~~~ Mix Mix Mix Mix errrrrrrrrrrr"

STEP 2: Sift all purpose flour
P.S I don't have sifter so used a thing that prevent oil from splattering

STEP 3: Slowly mix the flour (folding action)


STEP 4: Spread non stick butter in the cake mold
350 F for 12 minutes


STEP 5: Cool down the cake and carefully take out my baby from the mold.

STEP 6: Spread blueberry jam that I bought at Amish Town
Nyam~~


STEP 8: Let's make some cream for my cake~
Two egg yolks, 1/4 sugar and add milk or heavy cream
BUT! of course I don't have milk or heavy cream, so I add one table spoon of Banana Milk
Let's see how it turns out..

In 30 minutes, I made a great snack for myself.
It was very fluffy and not over sweet enough to taste my fillings.
